The Arkansas
Technology and Curriculum Access Center at Easter
Seals Arkansas is proud to be a collaborator
with the Southwest ADA Center DBTAC. The
Technology and Curriculum Access Center is a program founded to
assist in promoting universal design and effective use of assistive
technology and accessible information technology to persons with
disabilities. The partnership with the DBTAC is oriented
toward promoting access to information and services throughout
our local and regional area and has been active for nearly five
years. The special target areas have been training, consultation,
and resource and referral regarding quality provision of assistive
technology services in post-secondary settings and vocational rehabilitation
as well as accessible web page development, and topics associated
with better implementation of the American’s with Disabilities
Act Amendments.
Bryan Ayres, M.Ed., ATP has served as the Director and Principal Consultant with the DBTAC partnership. He has degrees in general education, special education, administration and is a certified assistive technology professional by RESNA, the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America.
