  • The Center for Development and Disability
    The Center for Development and Disability (CDD), established in 1990, is New Mexico's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service (previously known as a UAP).
    • Tips for First Responders offers information to first responders on how to assist persons with a wide range of disabilities.
  • TRAIN
    TRAIN is a learning resource for professionals who protect the public's health. A free service of the Public Health Foundation, www.train.org is part of the newly expanded TrainingFinder Real-time Affiliate Integrated Network (TRAIN).
    • Internet Video Course: Ready, Willing, & Able: Assisting People with Disabilities During Disasters offered for independent study and for continuing education.
      1. An account is necessary for the course. On the left side, choose the appropriate state and click create account. Kansas users go to http://ks.train.org
      2. After an account is created, login. Click on the Course Search tab above. Under the Course Search, click on the search
      3. Keyword:"Ready, Willing, & Able" or course number: 1010882 are necessary to get to the course .This will bring up the course details
      4. Click on the Registration tab and register for the course
  • Disaster Management Interoperability Services
    Disaster Management (DM) enables responders to choose their software products and allow them to exchange data with different systems used by mutual aid partners and other incident response collaborators. Exchange Disaster Management or DM is a Federal Program managed by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
