ILRU/NCIL National Training & Technical Assistance Project

IL NET Regional Coordinator Information

What are Regional Coordinators?

IL NET is proud to announce a new project designed to make IL training and technical assistance more accessible to centers and SILCs. We are doing this by identifying five regional coordinators who will work closely with you, helping you find training and TA resources to meet your center or SILC’s needs and making sure that future projects reflect your wishes.

The regional coordinators will help center and SILC staffs learn how to use IL NET resources to meet their specific needs, assist them in using the resources already available through the IL NET, and identify experts on various IL topics among the CILs and SILCs in their regions for peer mentoring. Also, the regional coordinators will provide the IL NET with ongoing, firsthand information on the training and technical assistance needs of centers and SILCs in each region to improve and focus training and technical assistance offerings.

By moving to this ‘regional’ approach, IL NET hopes to enable CILs and SILCs to make better use of the array of materials already developed by the IL NET and assist them in taking full advantage of the new materials and training opportunities provided by the IL NET.

The regional coordinators will attempt to contact every CIL and SILC each project year and offer to work with any interested organization to develop a simple training and technical assistance plan. They will do this using the ILRU database of CILs and SILCs found at www.ilru.org. You can guarantee your organization’s participation by letting us know immediately if there are any name, address, or phone number changes in your organization.
