Physical Activity & Independent Living: What's the Connection?

Dot Nary and Katherine Froehlich Grobe conducted independent community-based studies on the benefits of physical activity in promoting good health among people with disabilities, with particular emphasis on the importance physical activity plays on their ability to live as independently as they desire and the importance of increasing physical activity levels.

They presented a Web cast of their study in which they discussed the importance of increasing physical activity levels and what steps to take to initiate or expand an exercise routine.

This web cast will be useful to individuals and organizations seeking to develop accessible physical activity programs in their communities, as well as for individuals wanting to learn more about this topic.
