The presenter addresses Title III requirements for small businesses including:

  • Sales and service issues--architectural barriers and modifying delivery of services
  • Communicating with customers & rights to effective communication

  • Enforcement
  • Tax credits eligibility and deductions 

About the Presenter

Paula Rubin joined the Disability Rights section of the U.S. Department of Justice in 2003. Prior to that, she was Director of Training for the National Association of Protection and Advocacy System (NAPAS) – a national network of federally funded and mandated agencies enforcing disability rights laws throughout the country. Before joining NAPAS, she was a Visiting Fellow with the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Programs providing technical assistance and training to criminal justice professionals on the Americans with Disabilities Act and other civil rights laws.  Paula has 10 years of civil litigation experience, and has been an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center teaching Disability Discrimination Law since 1995.  Paula received her J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1981, and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977.
