About the Training
The ADA requires that employers provide accommodations for applicants
and employees with disabilities in order to remove workplace barriers
to provide equal employment opportunity. For many employers understanding
when and how they must comply can be, at times, complex.
Developing effective policies & procedures and best practices
can assure full compliance as well as helping management successfully
respond to reasonable accommodation requests and needs resulting
in creating a fully productive work environment for all employees.

About the Presenter
Julie Ballinger provides technical assistance and training
in the areas of disability rights and issues as a consultant with
her business, StarReach Enterprises. Julie has worked in the disability
rights field for over 22 years and is a person with disabilities.
Julie currently provides Americans with Disabilities Act training,
in-depth technical assistance, and sociology-related disability
awareness training to various employers, large and small businesses,
state/local governments, non-profits and disability groups. She
also provides training on Section 188, the nondiscriminatory and
equal opportunity provisions of the Workforce Investment Act of
1998 (WIA).
