About the Presenter
Dr. Richard A. Krueger has been active
in conducting research studies within universities, public agencies
and non-profit organizations. He has served in a variety of roles
such as consultant, advisor, principal investigator and study director
for scores of research efforts in topics such as: public health,
nursing, social work, education, medicine, communications, business
and natural resources. In addition, Dr. Krueger has taught a range
of courses on research methodology at 20 universities throughout
the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
He is on the graduate faculty at the University of Minnesota in
both education and epidemiology where he teaches courses on program
evaluation and focus group interviewing. His instructional strategy
has been developed from 20 years of his own research on effective
training experiences. He incorporates a variety of strategies to
make the topics interesting and engaging. He stresses practicality,
involvement, experiential learning and a little humor in his lesson
materials.
