Service Animals and the Law:
Which Animals do the ADA & State Law Recognize?

Abstract

This Web cast will address the definition of service animals under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as well as some practical applications of the law. Discussion will center around what is and what is not legally considered a service animal and how some state laws may or may not extend coverage to animals beyond those in the federal definition of service animals. Discussion about service animals in housing and transportation will be reserved for the second Web cast in this series on Wednesday, May 12, 2004.
