Relevancy, Accuracy, & SCI Research:
A Request for Consumer Input in an SCI-Related Survey

Abstract

Researchers at the National Rehabilitation Hospital Center for Health & Disability Research are asking for your feedback on a survey on the relationship of secondary conditions to levels of physical activity and exercise among people with spinal cord injury. This project will use a two-year national survey of 1000 adults with SCI to generate new knowledge about their physical activity, exercise, and secondary conditions. Specifically, researchers will examine the extent to which physical activity and exercise can reduce the risk of a wide variety of specific secondary conditions (such as urinary tract infections, pressure sores, cardiovascular disease, and osteoporosis).

Please download and complete the survey, then submit your responses, with suggestions, questions, and recommendations to webcast@ilru.org before the Web cast, during the Web cast and after the Web cast. With your help, NRH can ensure the questionnaire is comprehensive, easy to understand, and, ultimately, relevant for the participants.
