The History and the Future of the ADA

Abstract

On July 13, Lex Frieden, who was instrumental in envisioning and drafting the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), will discuss the historical implications of this landmark legislation signed into law 15 years ago. He will reflect on the early days of the ADA, the effects it has had on improving the lives of people with disabilities and his vision on the ADA’s future, by providing insight on how to build on the important foundations established by the ADA.
