Filing Disability Rights Complaints: Why Should You, How Do You, and What Not to Do

Abstract

Sometime the desire to file a complaint is overwhelmed by fear of complexity or cost.  Sometimes people hesitate to file a complaint because they think doing such is useless, and that nothing will ever happen to help them resolve the discrimination.  In this web cast the speaker will discuss the complaint process, review the agencies responsible for receiving various types of disability rights, and technical non-compliance complaints, and dispel the myth of futility.  This session will also focus on the best way to model and write a those complaints in order to clearly describe the situation, and hopefully, increase the chances of a positive resolution.
