Surviving The 704 Report: Answering Your F.A.Q.’s

The 704 Report is the data gathering tool used by the U.S. Department of Education to determine the effectiveness of all federally funded Title VII Part C Independent Living Centers and Statewide Independent Living Councils.  Completing the 704 Report can be a daunting task indeed, but it doesn’t have to be.

That’s why IL NET has teamed up with the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA) to offer two COMPLIMENTARY teleconferences and webcasts  to provide answers to the most Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.’s) posed by CIL and SILC staff on completing the 704 report.

Call One — For Centers for Independent Living
Wednesday, August 23, 2006
(3:00pm - 5:00pm EST)

Call Two — For Statewide Independent Living Councils & Designated State Units
Thursday, August 24, 2006
(3:00pm - 5:00pm EST)

With the new 704 Report, You may be wondering:

  • What are the new performance measures and why are they required?
  • How do we report services that can fit under more than one category?
  • Are CIL’s required to conduct I & R follow-up activities?  If so, why?

All of these questions, plus many more will be answered during these FREE trainings.   If you have specific issues the training doesn’t resolve, time will be allotted for RSA members to address them for you!

Who Should Attend?
CIL & SILC Executive Directors, Supervisors, and key staff members that receive Title VII, Part C grant money from the US Department of Education. ** DSU representatives are also encouraged to attend.

How Do I Access The Accompanying Teleconference Materials?
A copy of the revised 704 Report, a Q & A Guide, along with a Teleconference Evaluation Form will be available online shortly before the trainings. Simply go to http://www.ncil.org/704.html to download the materials for the teleconference.
