Reasonable Accommodations & Reasonable Modifications in Housing: What These Civil Rights Provisions Are and How to Successfully Use Them

Abstract

The presenter will review the rights of persons with disabilities to reasonable accommodation and modifications requests in residential settings under the FHAA, Sec. 504 and ADA. She will outline what protections these provisions offer and what are their limitations.  Presenter will discuss pragmatic ways to make reasonable accommodation and reasonable modification requests, identify resources as well as discuss real life examples of this process.
