About the Presenter

Dr. Hedrick is the Director of the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). He has made numerous contributions to the field of adapted sports and recreation for persons with disabilities and has coached athletes with disabilities. He was previously inducted into the National Intercollegiate Wheelchair Basketball Hall of Fame. Dr. Hedrick presently serves on the Disability Access Committee of the Illinois Board of Higher Education, and is a member of the Illinois State Advisory Committee on the Education of Children with Disabilities.
