Nutrition and Diet for People with Spinal Cord Injuries

Abstract

This webcast is the first in its series for 2008 on behalf of the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Spinal Cord Injury (RRTC on SCI) as part of our continued focus on knowledge and prevention of secondary conditions associated with SCI.

Clinical nutritionist Sarah Feasel, MEd, RD, LD will focus on nutritional needs and provide basic tips on maintaining a balanced diet for persons with spinal cord injuries. Participants will learn more about the role of diet, weight management, and nutrition to help prevent the onset of secondary conditions in persons with SCI.

The RRTC on SCI is a program of the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) in collaboration with ILRU.
