Promoting Mental Health Recovery Through Evidence-Based Supported Employment

Abstract

As the recovery paradigm continues to develop and evolve in the field of mental health, emphasis is being placed on evidence-based practice rehabilitation approaches that promote self-determination and individual autonomy. This involves integrated programs that combine models such as supported employment, supported education, financial literacy and asset development. This presentation will focus on services that promote vocational growth, economic self-sufficiency, and lifelong learning to build independence and resiliency.
