Abstract

This presentation will address:

  • The history of the Disability Access Office (DAO) and its organizational structure;
  • Managing the relationships among stakeholders in the government and the community;
  • What skills and experience are critical to staffing an office;
  • Tried and true strategies for accomplishing change;
  • Establishing policies and procedures for handling and processing complaints; and
  • Creating and implementing transition plans.
