Fair Housing and Reasonable Accommodations Updates

Abstract

Barbara Chandler, Fair Housing Manager for the Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership will discuss updates on Fair Housing issues and Reasonable Accommodations.

During this session we will:

Provide an overview and background of the Fair Housing Act
Explain Scoping and Coverage under the Fair Housing Amendments Act of 1988
Discuss who can make reasonable accommodation requests, the interactive process, terms/conditions regarding assistive animals, and medical documentation
Explore available resources & updates to these
