Travel and the ADA
J. Aaron McCullough, attorney and consultant focusing on civil
rights law will host this pre-recorded series focusing on various
travel issues. Aaron will also be on hand to answer questions LIVE
at a later date following the posting of these webinar.
Part I: All around your airport (Duration
45-60 minutes)
This webinar will review of the law governing air travel for
people with disabilities. We will provide an overview of the ADA
and the Air Carrier Access Act from booking, to baggage, to boarding.
This presentation will include a visual tour of a typical airport
with an eye towards explaining where the ADA ends and the ACAA begins.
We will also discuss various anecdotal reports about air travel and
disability, and where the law
Part II: Getting there ain't always half the fun – Planes,
trains, automobiles, cruise ships, and other forms of transportation (Duration
45-60 minutes)
This webinar will build on the “All around your airport,” presentation,
and discuss other mechanisms of travel and disability. We will
discuss the Americans with Disabilities Act, and transportation.
There are a few more confusing applications of the law than in
transportation. We will discuss the ADA as it applies to cruise
ships, taxis, rental cars, buses, and trains of all types.
Part III: The journey is the destination, but you’ve
got to sleep somewhere!
(Duration 45-60 minutes)
This webinar will build on both the two previous trainings, “All
around your airport,” and “Getting there ain’t
always half the fun.” We will discuss the Americans
with Disabilities Act as it applies to hotels, motels, B&Bs,
rental condos, timeshares, restaurants, bars, casinos, entertainment
venues, and recreational facilities.

J. Aaron McCullough is serious professional with a sense of humor. He
is an attorney and consultant focusing on civil rights law, specifically
compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Aaron is an
experienced lecturer on civil rights compliance with a five year
