About the Training

ADRCs are a hot topic in IL Movement these days for good reason. Aging and Disability Resource Centers (ADRCs) can be an opportunity to expand funding and services or a threat to independent living, depending on who you ask! When you view this training, you will hear from three CIL Directors that have substantial experience with the ADRCs in their communities. This presentation deals with the benefits and challenges of CIL participation in ADRC programs. If your CIL is considering partnership, you will want to view this training!

  • Identify and access resources for staying informed about the role, activities and issues of Aging and Disability Resource Centers
  • Describe benefits and advantages of collaboration between CILs and ADRCs
  • Identify examples of challenges and risks of collaboration between CILs and ADRCs
  • Describe useful practice examples of strategic approaches CILs have used to develop effective partnerships with ADRCs in order to achieve the best outcomes that consumers choose
