About the Forum

Transportation is changing rapidly, and it is crucial that the needs of the disability community are considered and met with respect to access and non-discrimination.

This by-invitation only forum brought together a small group of disability and transportation experts to explore and create a policy agenda around new and emerging forms of transportation and associated infrastructures that will ensure access for people in the disability community now and in the future. Topics included access of transportation network company services (TNCs such as Uber), autonomous vehicles, infrastructure and funding, and public rights-of-way. In a time of great change in transportation, participants were asked to recommend priorities and objectives for the disability community.
