Our Homes: Accessible, Affordable, Integrated Housing—An IL-NET Training and Resource Series
About the Series
Housing is such a persistent barrier to independence for so many people with disabilities. It often seems that no matter what we do to “find” housing, it just is not enough. This series will explore how Centers for Independent Living (CILs) and Statewide Independent Living Councils (SILCs) can be involved in expanding housing options for people with disabilities. The IL-NET will offer numerous trainings and resources: on-location trainings, webinars, teleconferences, online courses, on-demand trainings, and more to cover all aspects of accessible, affordable, integrated housing for people with disabilities. Most of our topics will address systems level housing expansion, but we will also address direct services and housing assistance. Check back to this page regularly to stay up-to-date on our trainings and resources.
Target Audience
Center for Independent Living staff, especially administrators, housing specialists, and advocates; it may also be of benefit to CIL board members, and staff and members of Statewide Independent Living Councils.
Registration and Fees
Typically, participation is free for on-demand training. For live events, our fees vary. Additional information is contained on the page describing the training (see the list below).
