About the Training

On Tuesday, January 27, 2015, ILRU hosted an RSA/ACL webinar for SILCs on the changes made as part of the reauthorization of the Rehabilitation Act, as amended by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). The Webinar highlighted key changes to the IL program, provided an overview of the regulatory process and explained how stakeholders may provide ongoing input.

Prior to the Webinar, questions regarding these areas were collected. The presenters answered selected questions during the Webinar.

Target Audience

SILC executives, staff, and board members. A separate training was provided on January 26, 2015, for CIL executive directors, program managers, and other staff and board members.

Goals & Format of the Webinar

  • Update stakeholders on transition.
  • Review some of the key changes in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
  • Explain the rulemaking process.
  • Provide information on how to provide ongoing comments and questions throughout the process.
  • Answer questions previously submitted.
