Social Determinants Accelerator Act Provisions Included in FY 2021 Appropriations Package

The recently passed FY 2021 federal appropriations package includes key provisions from the Social Determinants Accelerator Act (H.R. 4004/S. 2986) that direct $3 million in funding to establish a Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Pilot Program under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This pilot program will award competitive grants to state, local, territorial or tribal jurisdictions to support the development of SDOH Accelerator Plans that are designed to directly address SDOH.
