About the Training

It's no secret! The lack of accessible, affordable, integrated housing is the greatest barrier to community living facing people with disabilities today. You have the skills and resources to help people safely move home... if only there were homes available!

The New Community Opportunities Center provides two new programs to share proven partnerships to aggressively pursue and create accessible housing. Led by staff from Access Living in Chicago, IL, these presentations provide you with detailed methods for creating working relationships to develop accessible housing and enforce fair housing laws in your community!

Provided in two parts, part one of the training explores partnerships for housing resources and part two addresses forging legal alliances to ensure fair housing enforcement.

Target Audience

CIL Administrators, Housing Specialists, Advocates and others concerned with increasing the availability of integrated, affordable, accessible housing for persons with disabilities.

Learning Objectives, Part 1

  • Identify strategies for creating innovative CIL housing partnerships
