About the training

SOAR 2021 is virtual this year. And registration is free! All you need to attend is a computer or mobile device and an internet connection.

This year's conference will feature keynotes from:

  • Retired Senator Tom Harkin 
  • Comedian Michael Beers 
  • Shane & Hannah Burcaw of Squirmy and Grubs.

We will also have several breakout sessions hosted by self-advocates throughout the Midwest.

What is the SOAR Conference?

SOAR stands for Seeking Opportunities for an Advocacy Revolution. It is a conference held by four midwestern states:
