About the training
Join the Center for Independent Living for our “Disabled, Working, and Thriving!” vocational workshop series. The series will be hosted through Zoom every other Friday from 1:00 PM - 2:45 PM.
The workshops will focus on job searching, resume and cover letter building, interview preparation, workplace accommodations, disability disclosure and more! Additionally, office hours will be available with our vocational training instructor/program coordinator, so that attendees can work 1-on-1 with staff on resume/cover letter building, mock interviews, and go in depth into topic areas as needed.
Cohort 1: June 9, 2023- Jul 21, 2023 (every other Friday)
June 9th: Beginning Your Job Search
June 23rd: Cover Letter Workshop
July 7th: Interview Preparation
July 21st: Post Interview, Disability Disclosure, and Reasonable Accommodations
Cohort 2: Aug. 11 - Oct 5, 2023 (every other Friday)

In October, to kick off National Disability Employment Awareness month, attendees from both cohorts will be invited back to attend a virtual panel of job search agency professional. Our goal is to help support all attendees in landing a job where they can THRIVE!
