About the training

ILRU’s IL-NET National Training & Technical Assistance Center operates to support CILs and SILCs build capacity to run strong, effective organizations. IL-NET’s resources cover an expansive list of topics related to CILs and SILCs, from advocacy to financial management, and everything in between. This webinar will help you know better how to find the resources and training available through ILRU’s comprehensive website that best meet your needs. Our IL‑NET team is here to help you find the publications, recorded training, courses and materials that will help you operate your CIL or SILC with excellence!

Staff from ILRU are joined by NCIL, APRIL, and Utah State University’s Center for Persons with Disabilities. Together they walk you through the trainings and resources the IL-NET offers and show you how you can best access them. You will learn about online trainings and materials that you can access right away, as well as training topics for 2020 that you can add to your calendar.

The IL-NET National Training and Technical Assistance Center for Independent Living is operated by ILRU (Independent Living Research Utilization). ILRU arranges for webinar, on location and learning collaborative training through the National Council on Independent Living (NCIL); for peer-to-peer mentoring and youth mentoring program  support through the Association of Programs for Rural Independent Living (APRIL), and for online courses and document development through Utah State University Center for Persons with Disabilities.
