About the Training
Should non-profits market themselves? Yes! Marketing your Center for Independent Living’s philosophy, services, and value in your community is a key strategy for public awareness, outreach, and even fundraising. This brand new presentation will give you the information you need to start or improve your CIL’s marketing efforts; create an organization with a mission and reputation that’s broadly recognized in your community; and, effectively work in traditional and online media to advertise your message and services far and wide.
Target Audience
Executive directors, program managers, board members and other staff of centers for independent living who are involved in CIL marketing activities

Upon completion of this training, participants will have knowledge and resources which will enable them to:
- Explore marketing priorities and core messages through effective conversations with board members and other key stakeholders
- Describe the value of clear, identifiable branding
- Identify strategies for building productive relationships with mainstream media outlets
