Paul Akers

Paul is Director of Programs at the Center for Disability Rights in Rochester, New York where he oversees three waiver services—Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver (TBI), Nursing Home Transition and Diversion Waiver (NHTD) and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) — Independent Living Services and Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Service (CDPAS). In the past year Paul has worked closely with managed care organizations and MLTCs in transitioning Consumer Directed Personal Care Services from straight Medicaid and Medicaid/Medicare to Managed Care.
