Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the training, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the legal requirements for engaging in advocacy and lobbying as a non-profit organization
  • Identify the systems (legislature, media, agencies) that you need to impact and how to influence them
  • Explain how to effectively communicate your message, utilizing many options and channels
  • Describe proven methods for engaging and mobilizing relevant stakeholders at the grassroots level
