Laurel Lei Kelley is a Licensed NYS and MA attorney whose focus is on disability and social security law. She began her career in independent living at the Capital District Center for Independence, Inc. in 1997 and was promoted to Executive Director in October 2001. In addition to her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Psychology earned at SUNY Oswego in 1990 she earned a Juris Doctorate at Union University, Albany Law School in 1994. She has numerous continuing legal education credits on disability rights matters. She created and has overseen the Center’s healthy living program since 2010. She is a trained peer leader in the Chronic Disease Self-Management Program and Diabetes Self-Management Program developed by Stanford University.
