Bio: 

Pat Puckett is the Executive Director of the Statewide Independent Living Council (the SILC) of Georgia, a non-profit organization, founded in 1995, with the vision of equal participation of people with disabilities in their communities. Pat graduated from Valdosta State College in 1972 and attended graduate school in Public Administration at the University of Georgia. She was the first person with a disability to graduate from Leadership DeKalb in 1998; in 2003, she received their Outstanding Member Award. Pat is a founding board member of the Georgia Budget and Policy Institute, which celebrated its 10th anniversary in October of 2014. She was one of five Georgians to receive the Institute’s award for visionary leadership. Pat serves on the board of Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs, a non-profit company with the mission of developing and sustaining small business. She is an active member of many state and national organizations working to accomplish inclusive disability policy and services. Pat represents the eight Southeastern states on the board of the National Council on Independent Living.
