Patrice Strahan is a core member of Disability Justice Culture Club, a collective led by and centering disabled and neurodivergent QTBIPOC located in Huichin territory (in deep East Oakland, CA). DJCC was one of the leading organizations behind the #PowerToLive campaign, responding to the deadly consequences of the power blackouts imposed by California’s electric utility on elders, disabled people, and poor communities. DJCC is currently leading an East Bay mutual aid network connecting volunteers and resources to seniors and disabled folks impact by the COVID pandemic.
