Augusta Smith is the incoming Executive Director of Life of MS and also serves as the Project Director of HOT, Healthy Opportunities for Transition, and site supervisor for the AmeriCorps program. She has worked with LIFE of MS for 19 wonderful years. Augusta is the parent of an adult child with a unique learning disability. Because of her own personal experiences with advocating for her son, she believes that all citizens should be able to live their lives without any physical, mental or emotional barriers and that it is our professional duty to make sure that it happens! She loves working with young adults and their parents. Augusta feels that there is nothing more amazing than watching the light explode in a young person’s eyes when they learn about true personal empowerment.
