Deb Langham has been the Independent Living Services Program Director at IndependenceFirst, an independent living center in Milwaukee, WI for nearly 15 years. Deb’s expertise lies in curriculum development. She has developed several trainings for independent living staff, orientation training for new staff at the center and has given input on goal development training for ILRU. Before coming to Milwaukee, Deb was the Independent Living Program Services program manager at Walton Options for Independent Living, an independent living center in Augusta, GA. While there, Deb developed a work trial experience program and developed their life skills curriculum for individuals with severe disabilities. Deb serves on the Alverno Special Education Advisory Council tasked with the development of new special education programming at the Master’s level. The council also plans community events as encouragement to get the students to learn about community resources.
