Bio: 

Susan Pesavento is the Transition Coordinator for Commonwealth Connections Academy (CCA.) CCA is a public cyber charter school in Pennsylvania, serving students and families in grades K – 12. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Information System Management from Albright College and spent a year at Widener School of Law. However, she quickly realized that her true calling was in the education of children. She has been involved in the education of students in various ways throughout her life.

Susan spent several years teaching gymnastics to students of all ages. Later, she spent time managing a computer lab in an elementary school. She also spent three years as the lead teacher in an infant classroom at the Goddard School. When she was offered a position to develop a Transition Program at Commonwealth Connections Academy, she finally found her niche helping students and families learn and understand the importance of transition services and supports.

As the first Transition Coordinator for CCA, she has dedicated the last four years to growing the Transition Program and forming statewide community partnerships to assist in this endeavor. She currently resides in Enola, PA with her husband and four children.
