Rural-Urban Disparities in Health Care in Medicare

According to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, rural residents are older and in poorer health than urban residents. The 2023 Rural-Urban Disparities in Health Care in Medicare report looks at the quality of health care received by  Medicare recipients nationwide. The report highlights rural-urban differences in health care experiences and clinical care, how rural-urban differences in quality of care vary by race and ethnicity, and how racial and ethnic differences in quality of care vary between rural and urban areas.
