Translator/Interpreter (Spanish/English) (Full Time 35 hour/week Benefits Eligible)
*Training Provided* Stavros Center for Independent Living strives to enable people with disabilities and the Deaf to maintain their independence. Our Personal Care Management department nurses conduct evaluations and re-evaluations identifying available services for the people with disabilities living in the community. Youth Services Advocate *BILINGUAL(Full Time 35 hour/week Benefits Eligible)
This position is Bilingual (English/ Spanish preferred)Youth Service Advocate (YSA) will help persons with disabilities and Deaf people develop the tools and skills they need to take charge of their own lives. YSA will establish independent living plans and goals with young adults between the ages of 14 and 22 who identify as having a disability in order to work towards living as independently as possible. The YSA should have or develop a knowledge of other disabling conditions, community resources, disability justice, and intersectionality. YSA will advocate and learn to fully grasp and embody the philosophy of the Independent Living movement and promote equal rights for all people with disabilities.

Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse license. Current CPR certification. Requires at least 1 year of community health experience, knowledge of disabilities and community resources. Proficiency with medical documentation and reliable transportation required. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish). Must be able and willing to travel to complete in-home visitations and evaluations.
