About the Consumer Information Files RapidCourse Series

This series consists of three modules, to be taken in sequential order, and is designed to be used in orientation and training for new CIL staff and as a refresher for existing staff. The primary, although not exclusive, audience for the course, is front line workers in centers.

  • CIF Documentation 1: Consumer Information Files
    Provides the fundamental federal requirements for record keeping and reporting.
  • CIF Documentation 2: Interviewing and Assessing Needs
    Describes the required elements of an effective interview and provides basic guidance about the documentation required in the Consumer Information File.
  • CIF Documentation 3: Goal Setting with Consumers
    Describes the required elements of effective goal setting with consumers and how to assist them in making informed choices.

Getting Started
